Description: This is beautiful fall/winter Hide from the region - Finnish Lapland. The hide has no unpleasant odour and has been tanned/cured using the latest techniques/technology.

Underside : The leather side is a snow white colour. The hides are high quality with some minor insect bite markings on the leather side. These appear as small dark spots on the leather side, not all hides have these but there may be a few on the reverse of each hide.
Insect bites : modest amount

The reindeer species is not included in the appendices of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). The hides are not restricted by the said Convention and are not classified as a protected species.
The hides are tanned using salt and not by using whale oil or any other oil from marine mammals.

Care of the product -
The hides must never be washed in a washing machine. If they become wet then don’t worry as they will dry beautifully.
The fur may be prone to malt if they become too warm or they are sat on or walked on excessively.
To clean the skins use a vacuum cleaner on a low setting from the head to the tail. If the fur is soiled then wash with cold water and a sponge. Leave to air dry but not on a radiator.
